From the main train station you can reach the youth hostel with the bus within 10 minutes. The bus station is opposite of the main train station. Take bus line no 32, direction to Neuenheim (Kopfklinik). The youth hostel has an own stop ('Jugendherberge').

The hostel is situated in the northwest of the city, directly on the banks of the Neckar River. It is surrounded by recreational facilities such as zoo, botanical garden, swimming pool and various sports facilities. Jugendherberge Heidelberg International is located 5 km from Heidelberg Castle, which overlooks the Old Town District.

Jugendherberge Heidelberg International's Policies & Conditions: Cancellation policy: 24h before arrival. Payment upon arrival by cash, credit cards, debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, no American Express). This property may pre-authorise your card before arrival. Check in from 1pm to 2am . Check out before 10am Taxes included. Breakfast included. General: No curfew. Prices apply to guests aged up to 26 years. Guests older than 27 years pay a surcharge of 5,50 Euro per person and night. All prices include breakfast and sheets. All guests need to be members of the DJH (German Youth Hostel Association) or the IYHF (International Youth Hostel Federation). Membership is available at reception on arrival. It costs EUR 7 per year for German guests up to the age of 26 and EUR 21 (2015: EUR 22.50) for families or guests aged 27 and above. Each year from June onwards, membership will be half price for guests purchasing a DJH membership for the first time. Foreign guests need a Hostelling International Card (EUR 18), if they are not member of a national Hostelling Federation. For single overnight stays, a Welcome Stamp can be purchased for EUR 3.50. Thank you for your booking. Please note, that it is necessary to inform us by phone if you arrive later than 9pm. If you do not inform us, we might give your room to other guests after 9pm.
